So far so good! I've almost shaken those 7 pounds off again in the last 2 weeks. Nothing seemed to be happening but then the #s started to decrease. So I'm on the right track.
The workouts are INTENSE and challenging. My workout partners are THE BEST!!! Where would I be without you guys?
I'm heading off camping for a few days. I'm taking my workout book with me and will do my best to sneak my workouts in.
Finally feeling like I'm getting somewhere!

Success @ Milestone # 1
The 4-Week Bootcamp Challenge was GREAT!
The workouts were HARD! Thank goodness I have friends who were willing to workout with me. That really makes a difference. It adds a degree of accountability and motivation that I desperately need.
I didn't follow the suggested diet plan but applied what I learned in "Game On" and was successful that way.
At the 1/2 way point I was down 7 pounds. I unfortunately lost momentum while on holiday visiting my brother (July 1-11). However - I still managed to be 6 inches smaller at the end of 4 weeks and I can SEE the difference in my "Before" & "After" photos.
I've taken this week to think-&-eat-&-exercise but without a set program.
On Monday I am beginning a 12-week program designed by Fenly Fearon (of Fen vs Funk). I am going to take photos and measurement every 4 weeks and am looking forward to seeing more results.
I've also started rollerblading again. Thank goodness I have a stroller to push! (laughing) If only it had a brake!!
PS
Has anyone ever read "The Amazing Adventures of Diet Girl"? If you're on your own journey through a personal overhaul that includes reducing your weight I strongly recommend it. Well written, very "real" and motivational/inspirational in itself.
Get the book. Read it.

A New Sort of Motivation
I just typed this out in a text and thought I'd post it here.
It's definitely the right time for me to be making changes.
I am noticing a subtle shift in my world since starting the Fen versus Funk 4-Week Bootcamp Challenge. I've committed to a figure competition (as you may already know from my previous post). My circle-of-friends is gaining a new dynamic - health oriented people including some very fierce fitness folks! I'm surrounding myself with positive and supportive people. Being surrounded with like-minded people just makes sense!
Lots of good smaller changes that are helping me feel like I'm FINALLY making the transition from adrenalized weight-loss efforts (with temporary results at best) to a real, lasting, lifestyle change.
It feels good. It feels right. It feels sustainable. I'm excited in a whole new way! I feel solidly committed. I am actually thinking before I eat. No calorie counting. No hard-core "diet plan". Just smart sensible eating habits.
I am so ready for this!
